To achieve this extraordinary overall package, designer Kai Hopf is tasked with combining numerous individual designs into a single concept. This includes the BATTEN-FREE CENTRE, additional MINI BATTENS, the HOLLOW LOWER LEECH and RADIAL LOAD STRIPES running from the clew. Only then can this four-batten wave sail offer a wind range whose breadth is without rival. An optimised panel layout provides increased stability and control for all sizes 5.0 and up. In terms of handling, the superiority of the SUPER HERO is beyond doubt thanks to its low weight. The batten rotation is beautifully soft, even with minimal outhaul tension. The top has a highly active role to play as well, thus supporting the forward pull. For this reason you can confidently choose a smaller sail size than with many other wave sails. Generous volume, great stability and featuring a retractable daggerboard, the Techno 185D are perfectly designed to give you the most helpful conditions for learning to plane, to jibe and how to ride properly in the footstraps. Highly versatile boards that will encourage the whole family learn and progress. They are made using the thermoformed composite technology ACE-TEC and is as a result much lighter than those of the competition.

The Ion Riot Curv 14 harness features ION's revolutionary thermal composite CURV material known for its light weight and great durability. Besides this, the Riot Curv 14 is fully molded and offers an outstandingly light yet incredibly robust harness construction. With a flex index of 14, it is one of the medium-stiff to stiff models in ION's product range. All loads are distributed perfectly through its stiff 3D pre-shaped center part. Together with the low outline, this medium-stiff to stiff harness offers great freedom of movement, further enhanced through the flexible side parts. On top, the Riot Curv 14 was equipped with ION's popular C_bar 3.0 and Kite_Knife Multitool 2.0. The C_Bar 3.0 includes a dyneema webbing slider and comes without hook – allowing you to choose between ION's hook options to fit your personal preferences.

The Starboard Wingboard is a special board. It is a state of the art learning tool for Wingboarding. The 10'4 length provides the glide and ability to stay upwind. The thick rails, concave bottom and overall volume make it super stable. Footstrap inserts are placed perfectly for the first Wing classes, helping to find the right foot positioning.

This board is designed and tested for Wingboarding, and is at the same time a fun and stable 10’4” x 32” 220L GO paddle board. As a Windsurfing board it’s easy to learn on and you will enjoy an amazing glide in lighter winds.

On MIN setting it accelerates very powerfully with the slightest wind pressure and feels incredibly light - ideal also for foiling.

But one thing does not change: The new SUPER_HERO remains THE ultimate World Cup Wave sail, which always works optimally in all wave conditions around the globe. Due to the completely neutral and balanced draft position, numerous constructional changes, material optimisations as well as the LIGHT DONE RIGHT CONSTRUCTION, it’s unrivalled neutral feeling in the hands as well as stability and control in every situation makes it is the new favourite sail of PWA Wave triple world champion Victor Fernandez. Why? It rides very smoothly, is as responsive as a 3-batten sail in drift & go conditions and has real bite at the decisive moment. It is direct when pumping, planes early, develops real drive on the wave, is stable and offers this special neutrality for superior control thanks to its centred draft position.

The legendary, extremely crisp and responsive wave sail with the most direct power on/off switch presents itself after this year's weight diet even lighter, better and with an incredibly wide range of use. It works with either single- or multi-fin wave boards and even in freewave jumping conditions.

With 4 battens (except size 6.2) and the identical material construction of the SUPER_HERO, the new SUPER_STAR is ready for ambitious wave riders. However, its forward draft position guarantees a very strong performance spectrum and extremely wide range of use from classic wave riding to freewave bump & jump.

The SUPER_STAR easily manages the balancing act from a perfect day with classic down the line conditions to sessions in gusty, sometimes underpowered onshore conditions. Especially the smaller sizes (4.2 and smaller) have been extensively optimized in favour of maximum control during jumping and riding down the line. The excellent performance is mainly determined by the more forward and slightly higher draft position. This gives the SUPER_STAR its individualised character, whose ride and handling characteristics immediately feel familiar. You don't need any time to get used to it in order to get going right away.

The sail feels consistently light and balanced in your hands but reacts very directly and spontaneously - also regarding power on/off. Riders who prefer tri fin boards, who like to do radical cutbacks in minimal space and who also like to steer the board with their back foot will love the new SUPER_STAR! It can be laid down playfully in the bottom turn and the propulsion set to "off", thrills with hardly noticeable batten rotation and generates enough propulsion to keep the speed high even in onshore winds to attack the next wave. Since the sail generates more lift in the upper area, the board gets lifted improving the low-end power. All this works even better and easier now that the new SUPER_STAR has been put on a diet and slimming makeover with the LIGHT DONE RIGHT CONSTRUCTION.

This is achieved through an optimized panel layout, reinforcement patches featuring a high-strength high-modulus "Made in Germany" fibre and a new mast sleeve design, which, depending on the sail size, results in a 200 to 300 g lower weight! Unlike other brands, the film thickness of the centre panel has not been reduced, so the well-known durability of the SUPER_STAR does not suffer in any way! On the contrary: Except for the window, the entire sail is now made from X-Ply, which minimizes possible damage after a wash and at the same time gives the sail a slightly more elastic behaviour. Performance, dynamics and ride feel benefit from the new luff length and the modified mast sleeve design, which no longer has a seam at the leading edge (ONE PIECE SLEEVE). This allows for millimetre-precise tuning and a refined shape, resulting in a more sensitive, harmonious reflex. The luff is now slightly shorter, and the sail foil tension has decreased, so the sail builds up a slightly softer profile. This makes it more stable to sail and very balanced in the hands. Whether SUPER_STAR or as STARGAZER EDITION, both score with the convincing combination of performance, handling and control, on/off and the necessary power to have maximum fun even in moderate conditions.

An important note:

DUOTONE is the only sail brand to offer two different wave sails: the SUPER_HERO with a centered-low draft position and the SUPER_STAR with a forward-up draft position. Both sails have their own character, ride differently and convey their own feeling. Therefore, you should not mix sails with different draft positions in your quiver, otherwise you will have to get used to them every time you change sails. By the way, this also applies to mixing DUOTONE sails with sails of other brands.
